A glimpse into what the month of April looked like.
Everly has become one of our favorite spots in Madison. We went twice this month. The chicken sandwich is one of the best I have ever had. We generally get that but also ventured out to try a breakfast sandwich.

City Barbecue. This restaurant has recently opened on the West Side. We went all out and definitely over ordered but it all good. The Judge’s Sample included a quarter chicken, half slab of ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, two sides, two pieces of cornbread, and Texas toast. For sides we got fries, green beans, hushpuppies and mac and cheese.

Ancho and Agave. This is a cute Mexican spot in Middleton with a big outdoor space. It was one of the first warm days of the season so my friend and I wanted to take advantage! We got the chips and guac plus the complimentary salsa. I drank a couple delicious margaritas to drink!

Cafe Hollander. As per usual, we hit Hollander this month. The dish on the right is our Gibson special which is the slider app and the cheese curd app combined into one.

The Original Pancake House. This restaurant is really close to our house but we had never been. We went for breakfast and got so much food. The hash browns were the cheesiest I ever had which I LOVED. We also got a chili omelette, pancakes, sausage and bacon.

Shake Shack. Another neighborhood spot.

Other spots. Left to right – The Flannel Frontier in Deerfield, Vitense Golfland and State Street Brats.

Drinks at home – rosé related.

Drinks at home – not rosé.

I also attempted to make rosé margaritas. Full blog post on that here.

In May, I’m going to try to learn a couple classic cocktail recipes. Stay tuned for that and let me know if you have suggestions!
