RPM Seafood – Chicago

This place is fantastic! I went with my mom and brother for my mom’s 60th birthday celebration. Our server was Jake and he was amazing. We asked for suggestions and he did not disappoint. I picked this restaurant because it has outdoor seating right on the river. It’s such a beautiful spot! The view is great and you get an amazing patio experience.

Drink wise, my brother and I got cocktails to start. I did the Dolce Vita with Lillet Blanc, St Germain, Italicus Bergamotto, Giuliana Prosecco, and Cucumber. Then with dinner we split a bottle of rosé – the Rosaenovae Rosato.

Food wise, we shared everything. We got oysters and a caesar salad to start. The oysters came with lemon ice which was an intriguing touch. On the salad, the crouton aspect started out as a crispy block of bread. We debated on going with the cold seafood tower but instead went the direction of the mixed grill. The RPM Seafood Mixed Grill includes King Crab, Spanish Octopus, and Blue Prawn. Upon delivery the dish is flamed table-side. It was cooked perfectly and the flavor of all the meats was incredible. We also loved the dipping sauces that came with the meal. For another dish we asked our server Jake for a recommendation and he said the Charcoal-Grilled Black Bass which is served with Moroccan Spices and Salsa Verde. I don’t usually love fish dishes but this one blew my mind. The flavor profile was well balanced with the bright taste of the salsa paired with the charred fish.

Loved this spot! There are so many amazing places in Chicago and I’m happy we found this. Highly recommend if you are looking for high end seafood.
